Victory Through Christ
1 John 5:4–5
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Scripture Reading: Psalm 59
Life is full of battles, but as believers, we are not fighting for victory—we are fighting from victory. 1 John 5:4–5 reminds us that our faith in Jesus makes us overcomers. We don’t conquer through strength but through trust in Christ. Similarly, Psalm 59 speaks of God as our refuge in times of trouble, shielding us from our enemies. Even when opposition rises, we can stand firm, knowing our ultimate victory is already secured in Jesus.
This Sunday we will be reminded of these truths as we sing together "Victory in Jesus," which celebrates the triumph of Christ over sin and death. "Resurrecting" reminds us that the same power that raised Jesus is alive in us today. "Blessed Be Your Name" teaches us to praise God in every season, whether in abundance or suffering. "Completely Known, Completely Loved" reassures us that even in our weakness, God's love remains unwavering.
Because of Christ, we never fight alone. His victory is our victory, and His strength sustains us in every trial. As we lift our voices in worship, let’s remember that our hope is not in our own power but in the unshakable foundation of Jesus. No matter what battles we face, we can stand firm, fully known and fully loved, resting in the promise that in Him, we are more than conquerors.

Reflection Questions:
1. How does knowing that victory is already won in Christ shape the way you approach struggles?
2. In what ways can you live with confidence, knowing that you are "completely known and completely loved" by God?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the victory I have in Christ. When I face trials, remind me that my faith in You is my strength. Help me to trust in Your power and to rest in Your love. Even in difficulties, let me praise You, knowing You are in control. May my life reflect the truth that I am completely known and completely loved by You, as demonstrated in Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
