February 27, 2026 – Loving God Together
Psalm 63:1, 3-4
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you … Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
Scripture Reading – Matthew 22:37-38 & Matthew 26:6-13
Psalm 95 calls us to worship not just individually, but together: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down.” The language is communal. Loving God is not only personal devotion, it is shared surrender. In Matthew 22, Jesus commands us to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. In Matthew 26, the woman who anoints Jesus demonstrates that love in a visible, embodied act before others. Her devotion was personal, but not private. It became a testimony. Corporate worship works the same way. When we gather, our shared love for God shapes one another. We bow together, sing together, and proclaim together that He is worthy. Loving God corporately reminds us that faith is not lived in isolation but expressed in community. Jesus did not just save you from your sins, He saved you into a new family…the Church. Together, we declare that He is our God and we are the people of His pasture.
Our songs help form our shared love for God. Blessed Be Your Name teaches us to worship in both joy and trial — together. Christ Is Mine Forevermore anchors our identity in belonging to Christ, not just personally but as a people. O Praise The Name (Anastasis) invites us to proclaim the resurrection as one voice across generations. And The Lord’s Prayer (It’s Yours) reminds us that prayer itself is communal, “Our Father.” These songs show that worship is not a solo performance but a shared declaration. Together we bless, trust, praise, and surrender. Corporate worship trains our hearts to love God not only with private devotion but through united proclamation.

Reflection Questions:
1. How does worshiping with others help shape your love for God?
2. What role does your participation play in encouraging others to love God?
Prayer: Lord, teach me to love You not only in private but together with Your people. Help me to worship with humility, joy, and gratitude alongside others. Let my voice, my presence, and my participation encourage those around me to see Your worth. Shape our community into a people who bow together, sing together, and live for Your glory. May our shared worship deepen our love for You and strengthen our faith. Amen.
